The CHG faculty and professional staff contribute to the genetic education of a variety of populations including physician assistants, medical students, college students, genetic counseling students, high school students, both international and domestic scientists interested in performing genetic analysis of complex human disease, as well as the lay public.

The faculty of the Center for Human Genetics is committed to training individuals at all levels in human genetics.

Areas of focus include:

  • family ascertainment
  • genetic linkage in Mendelian and complex disease
  • statistical methods development
  • family studies
  • assessments of gene-gene and gene-environment interactions
  • association and/or disequilibrium studies
  • DNA analysis
